Star Wars Battlefront II To Get Special “Solo” Content This Month
One could argue that the Star Wars universe has never been more alive and well. Last year we got the epic arrival of The Last Jedi, earlier in the year Star Wars Rebels gave us a heartwarming (and breaking) finale, and even Star Wars Battlefront II got fixed in a way that made up for what it did during its launch last year. And there are more projects coming from various media about the universe. Including an origin movie about everyone’s favorite smuggler, Han Solo.
So, it’s only natural that Star Wars Battlefront II pay tribute to the character by bringing in some content from the movie into the game. And as EA revealed on Twitter, that’s exactly what they’re going to do:
We’ve got a really good feeling about this.
#StarWarsBattlefrontII: The Han Solo Season arrives this month. Details come out of hyperspace next week.
Obviously, since they’re revealing details next week we don’t have any info to give right now. However, we can make some educated guesses on what we can expect based on the Last Jedi pack that came out for the movie’s release as well as the Rogue One content that released for the original Battlefront when that movie released.
More than likely, you’ll get new skins for Han Solo, Lando Calrissian, and maybe even Chewbacca based on their younger forms from the Solo film. We might even see a new character from the film make an appearance, it’s up to EA. Just as likely is that we’ll get to go to a planet from the film in this special content. Which one is unclear as we honestly haven’t been given many planet names for the Solo film.
Also possible is a special game mode, maybe a starfighter battle where you have to take control of the Millennium Falcon and re-enact a battle from the film.
Once the details come out, we’ll give you the rundown.
