Spyro The Dragon: Reignited Trilogy Delayed To November
It seems like the last few years have been the years to bring back classic games in new ways in one form or another. Case and point, Crash Bandicoot ‘N Sane Trilogy. This brought back the original 3 games, gave them visual updates and small gameplay improvements, and people ate it up. So much so that the next revamp/remake to be announced was Spyro The Dragon: Reignited Trilogy. This would also bring back the original three games, add improved graphics, sound, voice acting and more.
The game was scheduled to come out on September 21st, so about a month from now, but the team at Toys for Bob has made the announcement that they’re going to need a little more time to get things done.
“Everyone here at Toys for Bob is so proud to be reigniting the original Spyro trilogy after all these years. We’re deeply committed to getting these games right, so we’ve decided to move the release date of Spyro Reignited Trilogy to November 13, 2018. I really hoped that you would be rescuing dragons and scorching Rhynocs sooner, but the Trilogy needs more love and care. In November when you’re exploring the Dragon Realms, Avalar and the Forgotten Worlds, we know you’ll agree the extra time was worth the wait. The adventure continues!”
In terms of delays, it could be much worse, it’s not even a full two month delay, which fans will likely be grateful for. And since they’re needing this time for polish, it means they aren’t suffering from a game-breaking disaster or crisis of gameplay like others have had.
The team at Toys for Bob really are going all out for Spyro The Dragon: Reignited Trilogy, as they’ve brought back the original voice actors and even the original composer to help make a new track for the game. Hopefully it’ll all work out by November.
