South Park: The Stick Of Truth Coming To Nintendo Switch
South Park is one of the longest-running TV and animated series in history, with over 20 seasons of crude jokes, innuendo, and poking fun at just about everything that ever happens in the world. But in recent years, creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone have wanted to make South Park synonymous with video games. And so, they teamed up with Obsidian Entertainment to make South Park: The Stick Of Truth and then South Park: The Fractured But Whole. The latter recently came out on the Nintendo Switch, and now, the former is following suit.
South Park: The Stick Of Truth was the game that helped prove South Park could make it not only as a game, but as an RPG. The details and story were not only true to the universe, but it made playing the game fun for both diehard fans and people who just loved RPGs. In fact, The Stick Of Truth is considered by many to be one of the best RPGs ever made, which is something you just don’t say without truly meaning it.
Now, as for it arriving on Nintendo Switch, the announcement was made during a financial report that Ubisoft had today (as they’re the publisher of the property). According to them, the game will arrive on the Nintendo eShop in September. No word on whether a physical edition is on its way as well.
In South Park: The Stick Of Truth, you play as a new kid to South Park, and must join up with all the other members of the crew, led by Cartman, on a quest to become…cool. Along the way, you’ll explore classic locations, fight enemies both fantasy and South Park, and get new powers along the way. So, if you’ve been waiting to jump into the South Park games, but want to play them in order, you won’t have to wait much longer.
