You don’t get a lot of games today that focus on the narrative and the story, even if you are playing an RPG. But, there are always exceptions to every rule, and a game called Smoke and Sacrifice just got its release date. The game looks like a dark fantasy RPG, and as we said before, it has a heavy emphasis on the story and the characters. It’s coming out on May 31st, and it is looking like quite an interesting title, and it even has hand-painted art, which is something that you don’t find very often in the current gaming industry.
So, what’s this title all about? In Smoke and Sacrifice, you play as Sachi, a mother that had to sacrifice her child to something called the Sun Tree. That sounds like a horrible idea, but the world of this game has lost its sun, and they need something to shine in order to maintain their community alive, as the rest of the planet is slowly being frozen. The game looks a lot like Don’t Starve in terms of graphics, and that’s a good thing, as the graphics on this title also look absolutely charming.
Smoke and Sacrifice is launching on PC and Nintendo Switch at first, while the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions still don’t have an exact launch date.
