There has been a battle on the high seas taking place between the developers of Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag and upcoming pirate adventure Skull and Bones, which was announced at E3 earlier this year.
The golden age of piracy is celebrated in Skull and Bones, which in this new video showcases some of the gameplay that is on offer. Players will sail as a ship captain in the Indian Ocean, as you plunder and pillage in the game’s single player campaign. The video below highlights the PvP aspect of the game, which takes place in Disputed Waters. Check out the two dev teams going head-to-head:
There has been little revealed by Ubisoft in terms of Skull and Bones so far, though they have elaborated on how the game will play out. In what looks to be an authentic pirate experience, players will play as a customizable captain in the game’s single player mode, where they will have to factor in wind direction and utilize the arsenal of cannons, mortars and more in their possession.
A release date has yet to be confirmed for Skull and Bones, though it is expected to release sometime in late 2018. Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag meanwhile is now available on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
