Today sees the implementation of the 2.2.2 patch in Rainbow Six Siege, which will bring a number of different changes.
As a part of Operation Health, the game will be getting additional dedicated server support, as well as mohawks and a set of bug fixes to bring further balance to the game. For starters, the Elite Pulse Set known as “Lucky Seventh” brings new skins for weapons and gadgets, plus a victory animation, a chibi charm and the Lucky Seventh uniform.
In regards to servers, there will now be Custom Matches hosted by dedicated servers with just two players in the lobby, therefore no longer needed there to be 10 players there at a time. Terrorist Hunt matches meanwhile will be added to these dedicated servers soon. Host migration will be removed in these matches to make the switch to enhance the overall stability. Also, voice chat has been improved, which has been boosted by Vivox on the dedicated servers and is set to come to PC, will console support to follow.
The patch will lay down the foundations to the next update, which is schedule to arrive at the start of the next Season, which will see better hardware, plus technical improvements that with address latency, desyncs and more.
