Sea of Thieves: Patch 1.0.2 Released
Want to be a drunk pirate that battles spooky skeletons, sea beasts, and other drunk pirates? If you do, then you probably already play Sea of Thieves. It’s an action-packed shared-world adventure game developed by Rare and published by Microsoft. Even though most players get blown away by the first few hours when they start playing the game, it all goes downhill from there, as Sea of Thieves severely lacks content. But, maybe that gets fixed in the future, and now we get to take a look at the game’s recently released 1.0.2 patch.
So, what new features did the patch bring, besides the bugfixes? Well, first of all, the ship respawn distance has been increased by a lot. Now, while this may sound like a completely random change, it’s not, as players have been reporting that a lot of griefing behavior and stalemates connected with the respawning of the ships. Now, the crew that sank your ship won’t be able to see the new ship that respawns, as it will respawn further away from them. The other change was made to the Mermaid’s “Teleport back to ship” ability. Now any player that wants to use this option first needs to drop any kind of treasure before being able to get back to the ship with the teleport.
As far as the bugfixes go, there are a lot of them. For example, PC users should no longer get stuck at 99% during the installation of the game. Jumping on a chest or barrel that’s located on the mid-deck will no longer result in you falling through your ship. Bounty Captains also shouldn’t spawn multiple times anymore.
Sea of Thieves is available on the Xbox One and Windows 10, so check it out if you haven’t already.
