Sea Of Thieves Getting Weekly Content Updates
When it comes to multiplayer online titles, there is a danger in not having enough for players to do. After all, you can give them a big world, you can let them become whatever they want in terms of class or appearance, but if they blaze through the game without stopping and they end up with nothing to do, that’s a problem. And that problem has been plaguing Sea of Thieves since its launch. But, it appears as though Rare has come up with a solution.
During a developer video, the team at Rare laid out what they’re planning to do for Sea of Thieves in the future. This will apparently include weekly events for players to participate in. You will have to wait for the first major content update though. It’s going to be called “The Hungering Deep”, and it’ll arrive this May. But when it does, it will help change the game:
“The Hungering Deep brings a new AI threat to the world, that crews will have to work together to discover and defeat as part of a unique event. We will also be introducing a number of new mechanics that will assist players on this adventure, and there will be unique rewards that players can earn as part of this event.”
Other things that people can expect include a brand new ship to command, and all new areas to explore in the games’ world. Both of which you can expect this Summer. Finally, all the things that Rare revealed in the video today will be free. Which is sure to please gamers.
This is very good news for Sea of Thieves fans, as the game does have a lot of potential, it’s just that there isn’t enough fulfillment of it. Hopefully, these updates will change that for the better.
