Saints Row The Third Comes To Switch May 10th
The Nintendo Switch has been getting a lot of ports from a ton of unlikely places. But when it comes right down to it, Saints Row The Third coming out to the Switch is definitely something very odd. And yet, it’s happening, and it’s happening on May 10th. This is the official word from Deep Silver, who is now the publisher of the game (due to THQ having gone under many years back).
Saints Row The Third is widely considered the best of the Saints Row franchise, as it was the one to truly separate itself from the “clone status” that it had gotten in regards to GTA. Here’s a brief synopsis of the game:
Years after taking Stilwater for their own, the Third Street Saints have evolved from street gang to household brand name, with Saints sneakers, Saints energy drinks and Johnny Gat bobble head dolls all available at a store near you. The Saints are kings of Stilwater, but their celebrity status has not gone unnoticed. The Syndicate, a legendary criminal fraternity with pawns in play all over the globe, has turned its eye on the Saints and demands tribute.
The other reason that the game is so known and beloved is because it’s truly one of the most insane titles ever made in regards to scale, scope, and content. Such as:
Take a tank skydiving, call in a satellite-targeted airstrike on a Mexican wrestling gang, and defend yourself against a highly-trained military force using only a sex toy in the most out- landish gameplay scenarios ever seen, igniting a city-wide war that will set Steelport on fire. Strap it on.
The game is getting the “full package” on Switch, meaning that all the DLC for the game will be here. Given how old the game is, it’s going to be curious to see how well the game performs on Swtich.
