Just before Christmas, Psyonix revealed that the popular indie title Rocket League had reached a whopping 38 million users. It doesn’t seem to be slowing down the pace anytime soon either, as just a few days later, it has been announced by the game’s developers that another two million players have joined in the fun, taking the title up to 40 million players.
It has been a very busy time for Rocket League, as the game has recently put its winter event to one side for another year. Coming up meanwhile will be a physical Collector’s Edition version of the game, which will release on January 16th and feature seven packages of DLC. The game has also recently released on Nintendo Switch too, adding many more players to the growing franchise.
As you’ll see below, the game’s Twitter account took to the platform to thank fans for their support for making what started out on the independent scene into one of the most popular games on the market today.
