Rocket League Introduces Anniversary Update
Rocket League recently implemented a large update to the game, bringing brand new content to mark its two year anniversary.
The game, originally releasing back in July 2015, has introduced a new map, as well as new crates, customization options and toppers, rocket boost and wheels from the popular animated comedy Rick and Morty.
The new map is known as Champions Field, which bears resemblance with other stadium-based maps within the game. The difference here however, is that Champions Field is more square-shaped than the traditional rectangle shape of other arenas.
There are some audio additions that have been made too. New engine sounds have been made available for you to choose from, along with new music with 18 tracks from Monstercat. Goal explosions can now be customized, presenting a number of different colors and more for when you smash the ball across the line. There are plenty of new items that are free, though some are locked behind crates, which you will be required to pay for.
As an added incentive, there is also six new achievements/trophies for you to earn in the patch, which also ushers in the beginning of Season 5. Two new cars will be added behind crates, with the introduction of the Animus GP and Centio V17 complete with new trails and decals for you to pick from.
Rocket League is now available on Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
