Psyonix is bringing a major patch to PS4 and Xbox One versions of Rocket League, which will be pleasing news for console players. This Autumn, from the beginning of October, Rocket League will be introducing a number of new features, one of which being the new Events system.
This system brings limited-time events which will offer players the chance to earn extra customization options for their Battle-Cars. There’s additional motivation to indulge in this too, thanks to the Decryptor allowing players to unlock crates they’ve got in their inventory without the requirement of buying a key to open it.
Going beyond this update, a couple of new features will be tested out, with the new Party and Tournament systems. The Party system will be a part of the game’s beta on PC following the update, whilst the Tournaments system, which allows players to create their own tournaments and compete in them, will launch later this year.
As for what the rest of the update includes, there will be a new limited-time seasonal Arena entitled Farmstead added, which will be available in Competitive, Casual and Private matches. The previously announced Player Banners will also be introduced, as well as over 90 free customizations items and much more.
