Resident Evil 2 Remake Will Have Changes In The World And Story
Within the last 15 years or so, gaming has made an effort to remake and remaster some of the classic games of the earlier console generations. This was meant to be a way for gamers of younger years to play and experience what made those earlier generations great. But for some, remastering isn’t enough, they want to seriously improve the game, and add more to it than just a new coat of paint. Thankfully for many, this the approach that Capcom is taking with the Resident Evil 2 Remake,
The game, which helped cement Resident Evil as a mainstay franchise, was announced to be getting a remake at E3 2018. And details have been slowly getting out about what to expect. Brand manager Mike Lunn talked with Gaming Bolt and noted some of the changes you can expect within both the world and the story:
“For example, there will be places in the original game, that you just drove by, or maybe just walked by, or people that you talk to maybe had a handful of sentences. You’re really going to have deeper experiences with those. Sometimes you can actually go on and play for an extended period. Sometimes you have a little bit deeper story with that person. They’re more involved than they were in the previous game. The narrative is definitely enhanced, but I can’t get into what those are, obviously.”
This goes with what was said earlier on about the Resident Evil 2 Remake in terms of how players will do the story. This time around, you’ll be able to choose whether you play as Leon S. Kennedy or Claire Redfield, and not bounce back and forth between the two like last time.
Gamers will no doubt be happy over the improvements, and this could lead to good sales if everything goes as planned.
