Three “What If” stories are coming to the Resident Evil 2 Remake today in the form of the free Ghost Survivors DLC.
There was a really long time where zombie games were just mindless and bland shooters that couldn’t scare a kitten, let alone a person. That changed when we get Resident Evil 7, and now the Resident Evil 2 Remake. Oh boy, did Capcom prove that zombies can be incredibly intimidating. They revitalized the Resident Evil 2 franchise and brought a lot of new fans that couldn’t resist the sweet temptation of this unfiltered horror survival game.
Completed the game already? Not to worry, the Ghost Survivors DLC is coming out today, free of charge. It gives us three “What If” stories that show us three different characters that could have survived the onslaught but didn’t. No Time to Mourn follows a gun shop owner, Runaway follows the daughter of the mayor as she tries to escape Racoon City, and lastly, there’s Forgotten Soldier. It follows Ghost, a U.S.S. agent that has to make it through a horde of infested in order to get out alive.
We think everyone’s excited to get more terrifying goodness of the Resident Evil 2 Remake. It’s also free, which is even better. Which of these alternate stories are you going to play through first?
We’re probably going with to try Forgotten Soldier first, as it’s the most difficult one, and we want to see another operative like Hunk try his best to escape the labaratory and save himself.
