Red Dead Redemption 2 Works Best On Xbox One X
After much waiting and anticipation, Red Dead Redemption 2 has finally come to gamers via the Xbox One and PS4. Both players and critics are raving about how good the game looks and plays. But, given that both the Xbox One and the PS4 have “advanced” versions in the Xbox One X and the PS4 Pro, there was a chance that one version of the game would play better than the others. The consensus from people is that the game most definitely plays best on the Xbox One X.
Those who have played it on the Xbox One X have noticed much crisper and refined graphics, especially in the open world. Not to mention the framerate for the game feels much smoother there. Granted, this shouldn’t be too much of a surprise, Microsoft made the Xbox One X to be the greatest graphical machine in video game history. And it also shouldn’t be surprising that the Xbox team is milking in this statement from others.
You see, Eurogamer made an article about this, and not long after posting it on Twitter, Xbox head Phil Spencer decided to retweet it. Which got him a bit of flak as it seemed like he was just “puffing up his chest” if you will. Spencer replied with:
Of course I’m a bit biased….but honestly most important is just play RDR2. Play it on a Pro, play it on an S, play it on PC. I just RT’d their headline, it autofills from their site. Of course I’m proud of how X performs but the game quality is the true accomplishment here.
While his praise for Red Dead Redemption 2 is admirable, did you notice something odd in the tweet? The game isn’t on PC. In fact, it hasn’t even been announced for PC. So…why did he say that? Could a reveal be coming soon?
