Rainbow Six Siege Receives Balance Patch
Rainbow Six Siege has been one of Ubisoft’s most played games in recent memory. The title came out in 2015, and since then, the developer has made sure that the game had frequent important updates. Ones that would guarantee that players would come back and play the title. This included new Operators to be, new weapons to use, new maps to play on, and more. But not only that, they’ve done their best to keep the game balanced and fair for all. To that end, they’ve released a new patch that does exactly that.
On the Rainbow Six Siege website, Ubisoft detailed just what would happen via this patch. What should make players happy is that a key Operator has gotten a huge nerf: Ela.
“Ela overpowers her competition. Players select her almost every round, and for a good reason. All of the data we have on her (such as win ratio, K/D ratio, and Kills per round) shows that she needs to be nerfed.”
So, they did, they nerfed her power and effectiveness in certain situations, however, they worked hard to make sure that she remains a unique character who can be effective in battle.
Other changes they introduced via the patch include changes to concussion effects. In this case, sprinting will no longer be affected. Your movement and camera adjustments will still be affected, but now you can run while you’re “induced” with the effect. You’ll also recover faster than before.
Many other Operators also saw changes via the patch, including Twitch, Bandit, Lesion, Ash and Capitao. Other gameplay and technical fixes include Temporal Filtering, UI adjustments for bombs, improvements to the Caster Camera, and of course, gameplay and bug fixes.
Be sure to check out the full patch notes for everything that’s been changed. After which, go and enjoy some newly balanced Rainbow Six Siege.
