Final Fantasy XIV players, are you ready for patch 4.3? It’s bringing quite a lot of new stuff, but most importantly, it is bringing quality of life changes, which is something that everyone loves. The patch is called “Under the Moonlight” it’s coming on May 22nd, and it is also going to bring some performance updates to this popular fantasy MMORPG. We’re getting forced boss room entry, unique markers for pets, an enhanced achievements feature, and more.
So, what is this forced boss room entry feature? Well, for those of you that ended up getting too distracted with shiny loot or something and don’t keep up with the group, you will no longer get locked out of the boss room without being able to get in. Now, you can just enter the boss room and tackle the boss together with all of your friends.
Under the Moonlight is also changing the unique markers of the pets so that they’re not the same ones that the players had. This was confusing, as you couldn’t tell if it was the pet or you on the map, so now their markers will be different. Also, when you log in, you get a list of achievements that you can complete in the area that you’re currently in, which is really helpful if you’re an FFIV achievement hunter.
