Quake Champions – Bethesda on Steam availability
Great news has arrived for fans waiting for the final version of the Quake Champions game, as at the official Bethesda forums it was confirmed that the upcoming sequel to the legendary shooter will be available via Steam.
Why is that so great? If you do not know, Quake Champions in its current state, which is something of a beta, is only accessible through the Bethesda Launcher, which is not really appealing to a lot of players, as many refuse to install trillions of launchers for various games. Steam is probably the best all-in-one alternative to solve this issue.
Now, on the Bethesda forums, members of the team responded to fans’ questions and confirmed that when Quake Champions reaches its final state, players will have the opportunity to play it through Steam and they will not have to download the Bethesda Launcher, although a Bethesda account registration will be required.
The aforementioned statement was, “Quake Champions will indeed be released on Steam. You will still be required to have a linked Bethesda.net account, but users playing the game from Steam will not go through the Bethesda.net launcher. During the current beta period, the game will only be available through the Bethesda.net launcher.”
This is good news for loyal Steam users and the decision will also probably result in an increased player base. Stay tuned for more on Quake Champions.
