PUBG Update 12 Now Available
The latest patch for PUBG is here, and it brings map selection, improvements for Miramar, loads of weapon balance changes, and of course, lots of bug fixes. You need to have supreme weapon balance in a game like PUBG, as that’s what dictates the outcome of a firefight. A player can have more skill than the opponent that he’s fighting, but if that other guy has a much superior gun, he will definitely win. That’s why this update brings weapon balancing that was dearly needed in the game. The developers are still watching the numbers to be sure what needs more tweaking before it gets released on the live servers.
ARs will now be properly balanced so there is no single best AR. The difference in power between all of them has been reduced, and now each of them is good in its own aspect. All SMGs have been buffed a bit to make them more powerful in short range combat, and shotguns got their damage and effective range increased. As far as pistols are concerned, R1895, R45, P92, P1911, P18C all got their damage buffed in order to make them more viable. The reload time of the crossbow was also reduced from 4 seconds to 3.5 seconds.
The SLR also arrived in PUBG. It is a DMR that has 10 bullets in its magazine and uses 7.62mm ammo. It packs a bigger punch than the SKS, but on the other hand, it also has more recoil. You can read more about this update on their official Steam post.
