Pokemon GO Officially Gets Gen IV Pokemon
Pokemon GO is the game that continues to endure and grow despite many ups and downs since launch. But to their credit, developer Niantic has worked very hard to make sure the game is playable for as many people as possible, and every mistake they’ve made (like the original Pokemon GO Fest) has been rectified and even improved upon (the second one was a smash hit). But just as importantly, they continue to add more Pokemon to the game.
And now, after much teasing, Niantic has officially launched Generation IV Pokemon into GO.
The world of Pokémon GO is evolving once again! This week, keep an eye out for Pokémon originally discovered in the Sinnoh region, featured in Pokémon Diamond, Pokémon Pearl, and Pokémon Platinum! Get ready to see Pokémon like Turtwig, Chimchar, and Piplup as they appear in Pokémon GO for the first time ever.
Your Sinnoh journey in GO starts now, and it’ll continue on as more and more from this generation decide to arrive:
Pokémon originally discovered in the Sinnoh region will be making their way to Pokémon GO in waves! So, you can look forward to discovering even more Pokémon over the next few weeks appearing in the wild, hatching from Eggs, and battling in raids. Stay tuned to our official channels for updates about new Pokémon, new features, and expansions to existing features like Pokémon storage and more!
More discoveries from the Sinnoh region await, Trainers, so let’s get ready to GO!
More than likely, Niantic will use events and other special moments to bring more Sinnoh Pokemon into the fold until they’re all in the game. This will help space out everything that everyone is trying to catch everything at once, but rather, catching them a few at a time, and then once they have them all, go onto the next one.
