Pokemon GO Allows You To Be Friends With People And Even Trade With Them
We always wondered why wasn’t there a trade option in Pokemon GO? It would naturally for a game of that type to have some sort of trading option, but it didn’t at launch, so the developers are finally adding it. We also get an upgrade to the Friend system which now allows you to upgrade your friendship, which is weird and wonderful at the same time. Trading and other benefits all require you to have some level of Friendship already achieved, so you can’t be giving gifts to just any stranger that you met, it has to be a friend who made some contact with you already.
Every time a player spins a Photon Disc somewhere (be it a Gym or a PokéStop) there is a chance that they get something very awesome. You get these special Gifts which can’t be opened by yourself, but you can send them to someone from your Friend’s list as a Gift (which can contain all kinds of useful items). These Gifts could also give your friend an Egg that has an Alolan form of a Pokemon that was originally found in the Kanto region. With a high enough Friendship level, you and your friend both get bonuses when you participate in a Gym battle or Raid Battle together.
Those of you in Pokemon GO that have a Trainer level of 10 can trade Pokemon with each other. When you complete a trade it earns a bonus Candy for the Pokemon that was traded away. All trades require Stardust in order to work.
