PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Releases Fourth Patch For Xbox One Version
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds may be available in “full” on Steam, but for the Xbox One, and the Xbox One X, the game is still in “preview” mode. Given that the game was only released on the console last month, that’s ok. But what’s not ok are the bugs and problems that the game seem to be plagued with. Players have been asking for another patch to fix the issues for a while now, and today, Bluehole has officially released Patch #4, and it comes with some decent change to the game.
The patch was detailed on the official forums for PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, where the team also took the time to thank all players for their support of the game coming into the new year. They also promise that the future will feature more fixes based on what is needed, and what is requested by players.
Given the complexity of some of the crashes that have been logged, we know there is still work remaining in order for us to reproduce and address all remaining issues. Crash fixes, like all areas of the game, will be something we continue to improve upon as part of our Xbox Game Preview roadmap.
Easily the biggest thing that players no doubt want to hear is that the framerate for the game has been “slightly” improved. This by far has been one of the biggest requests for the game, especially on the Xbox One X where the higher framerate is supposed to be natural. The increase in framerate is also accompanied by VFX optimizations and PhysX enhancements.
As for gameplay, players can now do more weapons damage to vehicles. Aiming acceleration can now be adjusted. And now you can go faster when jumping out of the plane, or while parachuting. Oh, and you can now turn the music of the game on and off.
The patch is live now, so when you get the time, go and check it out.
