PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds – Multiplay will deal with European servers

Companies PUBGCorp and Multiplay announced the conclusion of a partnership agreement, through which the European servers of the Battle Royale giant PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds will be handled by the latter. Multiplay, a subsidiary of Unity Technologies, who is responsible for the development of the Unity engine, already has a decent amount of experience with hosting multiplayer games, like in the case of Rocket League.

The transition will take place in several stages. First, the developers of the game will implement some kind of hybrid cloud technology, which optimizes the server infrastructure. “Through this service, players will benefit from optimized server infrastructure, orchestrated by Multiplay’s hybrid scaling platform…”, and then players will be able to get all the advantages of high-quality servers.

“This partnership with Multiplay will allow us to improve our game server’s performance and deliver a smoother experience to PUBG fans in Europe[…] Multiplay’s expertise and dedication, paired with the resources that Unity offers have made them key partners we love working with. We look forward to building a long term partnership with the team at Unity.”

Hopefully, the new partnership with Multiplay will positively affect the service quality on the European servers of PlayerUnkown’s Battlegrounds. The company’s announcement can be read on their official site.
