PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Giving Away Battle Points For New Milestone
Video game developer Bluehole has stated that when they released PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds they didn’t think it would explode like it has now. In fact, that was one of the reasons they put it on Steam Early Access for such a long time last year. They wanted to make a good game that people could enjoy without the bugs that usually is associated with them. Fast forward to now, and the game has over 30 million+ players on PC alone. But, it’s also come out on Xbox One, and it’s doing well there too.
Now, much like the PC version when it came out, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds on Xbox One and Xbox One X is in “preview” form via the Xbox One Games Preview program. However, Microsoft has revealed that the console version of the game has reached 4 million players worldwide, which is a pretty impressive feat for a little over a month of game life.
What’s more, Microsoft further noted that they’re going to reward anyone who has the game on the system before the new month arrives:
“To show the community our appreciation for your support and feedback, we are rewarding players with 30,000 Battle Points to purchase cosmetic crates in the game. Anyone who has purchased or purchases PUBG on Xbox One and has created a character before January 31 at 12AM PST will receive this bonus.”
That’s a lot of crates, and as that’s one of the big cruxs of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, being able to choose how you look clothing wise in the game, we’re sure a lot of people are going to appreciate that.
To be honest though, players do want the Xbox One version of the game to get upgraded to its full form too. The Xbox version has a lot of missing features, including the recent Miramar map and certain technical upgrades. Let’s hope it arrives soon.
