PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Gets Update On Xbox Patch
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is currently a video game in two different places on two different systems. On PC, the full version of the game is out. It’s still dealing with a lot of issues, but it’s still out in its “full” version. Meanwhile, on the Xbox One (and Xbox One X), the game is still in the “preview” format. It launched in December of last year, so this was to be expected. However, some haven’t been with the communication from developer Bluehole.
For the game hasn’t had a patch in a while, and then, when one was announced, it wasn’t detailed at all. Players got frustrated because they wanted to know what was going to be fixed, adjusted, added, and so on. Thankfully, the team took to Reddit to address what’s going to happen with the next Xbox Patch.
“Our number one priority is optimization and improving stability of PUBG on Xbox Game Preview. So you will see some meaningful improvements along with some quality of life fixes in the next patch.”
Now, as for when you’ll be able to get the patch, they addressed that too.
We plan to deploy the patch in the next couple of weeks. As you may know, we still need to go through cert after development for this patch is done. And there might be delays if we run into any unexpected issues but we are doing our best to meet this deadline.
The two acknowledges the frustration that gamers are having that the patch hasn’t come out yet, especially since previous patches were given out weekly. However, the team notes that the best way for patches like the upcoming one to be delivered is for them to come out in stable form and not be rushed.
They also promise to answer a lot of player questions in a forum post soon.
