PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Gets Patch For Xbox One
It’s been a busy couple of weeks for PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, in just the last few days the game has launched version 1.0 on PC. Bringing with it not just more attention, but a LOT more players. Now, for those of you on console, you can still play the game on Xbox One, and Xbox One X, however, it’s only the preview version of the game. 1.0 for it is in the works, but there’s no release date for it as of yet. But, that doesn’t mean changes aren’t coming.
For the team released the second patch for the game on Xbox One the other day, and with it brought some changes that players are sure to appreciate. For example, the game added more optimization in regards to performance, hopefully making the game better for all. They’ve also made it so that you could further tune how sensitive the game is to your control inputs.
Weapons recoil has been reduced on all weapons. This update is special because it’s apparently only happening on the Xbox version of the game. There was an issue with the UI of the game where the voice chat wouldn’t display the right name. That has now been fixed.
As for bugs, there have been many crash issues that were resolved. But also, there were some other UI issues that were bugging players that have been fixed.
While small, it is a step in the right direction, the game has a long way to go before reaching 1.0 in many players minds. In fact, there’s a lot of debate as to whether the game is actually good or not in its current state on Xbox One. Developer Bluehole is working hard though, and they have help from Microsoft itself to try and work things out.
More than likely, 1.0 will arrive in the first few months of 2018.
