PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Desert Level Teased
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is one of the most popular games of recent memory. Despite only coming out earlier in the year, the game has been bought over 20 million times. What’s more, the game continues to break records on Steam for how many players play it at the same time. The game continues to grow and evolve, all leading towards a true launch sometime this year. But, one thing that players have been wanting for a while is an all-new map. They know they’re getting it, as it’s already been confirmed by the team. When though? That’s uncertain.
But now, we do have a first look at the map, which is set in the desert. NVIDIA of all people decided to drop some screenshots of the map, which you can view both above and below. As you can see, there’s going to be a lot of room to maneuver in the game, which is part of the PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds style. But what’s more, there’s going to be a lot of wide-open areas for skirmishes to happen.
And with 100 players being on one map at a time? You know that things are going to escalate in the best way possible. So no doubt this map will be a hit once it releases.
Though we don’t know when it’ll arrive, the promise is for it to be this year. Sadly, that promise also goes with the promise of the true launch of the game. We know it’s arriving on Xbox One Preview on December 12th, but as each day ticks on, it’s getting harder and harder to believe that the team at Bluehole will make their own deadline.
For despite it being so popular, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is still full of bugs and glitches that need to be fixed. And who knows how many are on the Desert map? We’ll just have to hope for the best.
