Unfortunately, cheating is an extremely common practice in video games, though it seems to affect some worse than others. For example, the immensely popular PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has been subject to some pretty serious cheating issues, which has prompted the team behind the game to announce their plans to eradicate such behavior.
In a statement on the social media platform Twitter, the team stated: “As part of our efforts to foster a safe & fair ingame environment, we are deploying new measures to combat cheaters. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by the cheaters and promise to take stronger actions against them going forward.”
Also, a post by developers on Steam states that although it won’t be a situation that has an immediate fix, it is something that they are committed to getting rid of. Their primary objective is to ultimately ban those who decide cheat, whilst also keeping PUBG a place in which players can enjoy the experience in a safe and fun environment to play in. Their next step is to introduce a patch which will arrive next week to help with detecting cheaters.
If you do experience any form of cheating, then you are encouraged to offer your feedback through the relevant channels to aid the situation.
