If you wanted to try your hand at game development without actually having to learn coding and other tedious skills, then you probably heard of something called the RPG Maker. A lot of games spawned from this “gaming development tool”, some good, others bad, but it did allow for someone to make a game from scratch, and it was rather easy to use. Well, now we’re getting the Pixel Game Maker MV which is, well the same kind of tool, just, better? It looks like it’s going to allow for more “advanced” game making, and that is always welcome.
Most of us wanted to make our own games while we were still kids. You know how you get all kinds of ideas when you play certain games, and you think to yourself: “I could also make a pretty awesome game”, and now you get a really useful tool to help you with that. On the official site it says:
You can now create your very own full action games without the need for any programming whatsoever. Compatible with JavaScript extensions, anyone from total beginners to seasoned developers can enjoy game creation to the fullest.
Like RPG Maker, Pixel Game Maker MV is also going to offer a lot of freedom to create whatever you manage to come up with, but we don’t know all the details yet. But we do know for certain that the Pixel Game Maker MV is coming to Steam’s Early Access this summer.
