Piranha Bytes’ Sci-Fi Fantasy ELEX Finally Got A Release Date

Piranha Bytes has a rather interesting RPG for us called ELEX. A game that mixes science fiction with fantasy, where we have access to swords, pistols, and plasma rifles. It’s safe to say that ELEX aims to provide a rich, gripping world where your typical sci-fi and fantasy elements clash to form science-fantasy. Ever wanted to see mages, soldiers, machines, and mutated creatures all in one role-playing game? Well, you should keep an eye out for ELEX, and definitely check out the game’s cinematic trailer that was released recently.

We are excited to see another quirky RPG from the creators of Gothic and Risen, and now that we finally have a release date for the game, which is October 17, 2017, we can start saving up money to buy it as soon as it gets released. There aren’t many video games that mix sci-fi with fantasy, but ELEX is one of them and its post-apocalyptic setting promises original characters, vicious mutated creatures, magic, and lots of action.

All sorts of RPG fans can rejoice as there many weapons of all sorts in the game. Read down below what’s said in the official game description:

From swords and axes to bows, crossbows and harpoons, Elex offers one of the widest selection of weaponry in the history of role-playing. Pick up a shotgun, power up a plasma rifle or unleash a flame thrower – there’s a weapon and combat style for every fighter out there.

As you can see, we will have lots of ways to deal with any threat. We will also be able to find companions to accompany us on our adventures. Players will be making deep moral choices as they progress through the story, and each of your decisions will carry a certain weight behind it. This could be a hit RPG for Piranha Bytes, but there’s always a possibility of failure as mixing science fiction with fantasy can be rather difficult. But, now that we know the release date, we just need to wait for ELEX to be released so we can try it out ourselves!
