Just over a couple of months ago, we finally saw the release of the elusive Friday the 13th: The Game. Fast forward to present day, and Gun Media has revealed some interesting information regarding the game’s success and what plans are in place for the future.
So far, the horror game has sold 1.8 million copies, which is a pretty impressive achievement for a Kickstarter game from a small team, and given the amount of issues it suffered from at launch, plus the fact that this statistic is based on digital sales. On the subject of sales, digital only will be a thing of the past soon, with plans to release physical copies on the apt date of Friday October 13th. Exclusive content will be available in the physical version, of which you can check out in the announcement trailer below, which includes a new skin for Jason and skins new counselor skins.
Friday the 13th: The Game is now available digitally on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4, with physical copies coming to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 in October. A single-player campaign is also in the works for the game, which will apparently release as a free download for those who own the game.
