The Phoenix Point: Phoenix Project trailer shows us how humanity, divided into three factions, has to take on a mutant alien race.
The trailer gives us the gist of a rather hopeless situation
Since humanity is a bunch of idiots, instead of banding together to take on creepy mutant aliens, they divided themselves into three factions. Phoenix Project, a secret organization that failed in the past and has been mostly forgotten now has to act. Why? Well, because a strange mist ate some people then vomited them back out as mutated monsters. That’s the gist of it at least. As in X-COM, a game that greatly inspired this one ( and Julian Gollop, the designer, and creator of the original X-COM game, is the guy making this one), you need to rid the world of these mutants, research new technologies, save what’s left of humanity, and try not to get horribly mutilated in the process.
The Phoenix Project trailer sets the stage
I wrote about the game before, when it was first delayed. Now that the release date of December 3rd is drawing closer, the development team is working hard. Squashing all the bugs, polishing everything up. The Phoenix Point: Phoenix Project trailer, as you could tell, contains no gameplay. It’s mostly worldbuilding, so the players know what happened to humanity and how these terrifying mutants started appearing.
Quite an effective trailer that sets up the main stage perfectly. I can’t wait to dive deep into hives of nasty abominations and take them apart, limb by limb. The game is an Epic Store exclusive for a year. But, you can get it by being a Game Pass subscribers. Pick the lesser evil.
You can get a Phoenix Point PC game key on HRK Game right now if you don’t want to wait till December! The price is also great!
