The closed beta for Path of Exile has begun on Xbox One today, bringing the action-RPG onto the console platform after its previous release on PC.
The game is set to release on Xbox One at some point in 2017, and given its inclusion in Xbox’s recent preview of summer releases, its possible that it will be sooner rather than later. If you can’t wait that long, then sign up for the closed beta testing as soon as possible.
Grinding Gear Games has spent over a year in helping make the transition over from PC to Xbox One. Path of Exile brings an ARPG experience of dark fantasy, most relatable perhaps to the Diablo franchise for those who have never come across PoE. As it is on PC, the Xbox One version will also be free to play, and will include all of the DLC that has been released for the PC version to date. Not only that, but the release of the Xbox One X will introduce additional enhancements to the game that will see it displayed in 4K resolution.
Spaces are limited in the closed beta testing, so be sure to act quick if you want to be a part of it. The test is scheduled to run for three weeks.
