Bethesda has announced that they are working on a patch for The Evil Within 2 on PS4 Pro.
Publishing on the game’s forums, the community administrator Jurassica stated: “We’re working on an update for PS4 Pro and Xbox One X. When we have more information, we’ll happily update you. Thanks!”
The Evil Within 2 was announced back at E3 earlier this year, and at the time was announced to support both PS4 Pro and the upcoming release of the Xbox One X. However, it was soon discovered by the PS4 box art that it doesn’t mention anything about support for the PS4 Pro, and there was no PS4 Pro enhancements detailed either. Therefore, it appears that the sequel has actually launched without initial support for the enhanced PS4 console.
The game looks set to bring a whole new level to the psychological horror series, offering a less linear experience compared to the first outing, this time bringing a more open world experience as returning protagonist Sebastian Castellanos heads back into the nightmare in order to save his daughter Lily, who was initially presumed dead during the first game.
The Evil Within 2 is now available on PC, Xbox One and PS4.
