Many Paragon fans are still reeling from the news broken by Epic Games that the MOBA would be shut down. In light of this, the game’s community is rallying to try and save the game.
Strange news emerged from the Paragon website in China, which seemed to state that there would be beta testing in February, and would be continuing under Tencent, who owns a 48% stake in Epic. There’s still no word on whether or not it will disappear, but it looks to be staying active at this moment in time.
There has been petition set up to save the game, which you can find here, which will hopefully attract a number of fans to help save the title. Not only that, but there has also been a thread set up on Reddit, which comes from an unknown development team, who are working on a project under the title Paragon 2.0. This has been described as a replica of Paragon, which will be driven by the input of the community.
Apart from that, there is nothing much else on what can be done for Paragon, with the only hope coming from petitions and a potential project to revive the game, though whether or not it is legitimate remains to be seen. There is going to be more information on it in around a month’s time, so there may be light at the end of the tunnel after all.
