Paladins: Champions Of The Realm Officially Announced For Nintendo Swith
There’s been a lot of rumors recently about some big 3rd party titles coming to the Nintendo Switch, and one of them was the multiplayer-focused title Paladins: Champions Of The Realm. Well now, Hi-Rez Studios has officially confirmed that the game is coming to the system, and in fact, it’s coming to the console next week! And along with the entire game, it’s bringing some high-end features that’ll make it a worthy port of the title.
First off, the game will be running at 60FPS, and it’ll also feature cross-play with the Xbox One, which is a pretty big deal. And it won’t matter if you play the game in docked or undocked mode, the full experience will be there for both styles. You can check out the announcement trailer here.
Studio producer Chris Larson noted that they are “thrilled to bring one of the worlds most popular shooters to an incredible platform like Nintendo Switch.” He added, “players will experience the same fantastic team-based shooter gameplay they know and love in Paladins, now in the palms of their hands.”
As great as it is to see Paladins: Champions Of The Realm coming to the Nintendo Switch, many are going to view this as a greater sign of things to come. For last week, a “leaked” document stated that many 3rd party titles were coming to the Nintendo Switch. Paladins was on that list, as well as FIFA 19, which has already been confirmed, and upcoming 1st party title Mario Tennis Aces.
The big ones that haven’t been confirmed are Fortnite and Dragon Ball FighterZ. Though given that we are days away from E3 2018, it’s very probable that they’ll be revealed there.
Still, having a game with 25 million players on the Switch is pretty cool, and Nintendo should be proud of the acquisition.
