Pagan Online Is All About Pre-Biblical Slaughter
While we were lurking on YouTube for various gaming news, we stumbled upon an announcement trailer for Pagan Online.
Well well well, what do we have here. Another ARPG that’s in the works? Lost Ark was covered last night, which is another brilliant upcoming title that sadly still doesn’t have a Western release date. Still, you should go check our coverage on it, it is quite well-written (wink-wink).
Now, let us get into Pagan Online and what it is all about. As we mentioned, it is a hack-and-slash RPG set in a fantasy universe. Ok, so far, nothing we haven’t seen before. What does make the game special? Mostly the pre-Christian mythology that this title aims to explore. This is certainly something rare, but the trailer doesn’t really show us much of that.
We get it, the trailer is cinematic, so it’s not a really reliable source of information. Still, from what we did see, this game looks like a strange hybrid of Diablo and Torchlight II. Does that make any sense? Well, it does to us, but we won’t give any specific conclusions until we see some gameplay. From the game’s site, we found out that players are able to play the game alone or cooperatively with other players.
Wargaming.net and Mad Head Games are collaborating to work on this title. That could mean a lot of things, and we can’t even begin to think if that’s good or bad. After all, we are all waiting to get even a small glimpse of gameplay to help us formulate a solid opinion.
