The long-awaited Overwatch Summer Games has finally arrived, bringing the latest seasonal event to the popular Blizzard shooter.
The Summer Games has made a return, having first debuted in the Summer of 2016. This sees the return of the Brawl mode LucioBall, which is now available in competitive play as well as those looking for a more casual experience.
What has also made a comeback is the unique skins dedicated to the event, which will be available for the many heroes in the game’s roster. Skins from last year that centered around an Olympics style theme, as well as new ones to commemorate this year’s event. So you can expect to see skins for the likes of Reaper, Widowmaker, Sombra and many others in what looks to be one of the highlights of this Summer in gaming.
If you haven’t done so already, be sure to check out LucioBall, which presents a more sporty game mode than we are used to, in a style similar to the indie smash hit Rocket League.
Overwatch is now available on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. The Summer Games is the latest seasonal event to appear in the game, with more expected through the year.
