Hype hype hype, that’s all that we can think about now that that the Retribution event is live. Overwatch is a game that has a really interesting universe and even more interesting characters, so it’s always great to find out more about them and their past. Retribution is the first in the so-called “The Archives” series which aims to give players more insight into the game’s lore. Are you ready to enter the past of the Blackwatch organization and confront Talon?
These co-op, story-driven missions serve their purpose to show you the era before Overwatch, and how our heroes looked and acted before it. Players will take control of various Blackwatch agents and confront their enemy, the Talon organization. The Uprising event from last year is also returning, so if you missed your chance to play it then, you will be able to participate in it this time. As you play the new modes, you earn Archives Loot Boxes which have over 60 brand new themed cosmetics, like the new legendary skins (Talon Doomfist. Blackwatch Moira, Scion Hanzo, and so on).
Are you excited for Retribution? Have you played the new mode already? Overwatch players always wanted a standard PvE story mode, and this is exactly that. It’s still a shame that Blizzard doesn’t add a mode like that permanently, but maybe they will somewhat later in the future!
