There has been a new Overwatch patch that has been in development, and is now available for testing. This testing is part of the game’s PTR, so although the changes will be available on PS4 and Xbox One via a future patch, the PTR is strictly PC-only, so will only reflect on that platform during testing.
As for the updates being made for heroes, the predominant focus is on Genji, with green detail textures on Sparrow Genji’s sword scabbard added when the golden weapon variant is equipped. The majority of the patch is focused on bug fixes for heroes, a number of which centre around Doomfist. For example, a bug in which his Rocket Punch would not deal damage when an enemy hits a wall has been fixed, as has enemy movement not stopping when hitting a wall. Also for Doomfist, his Rocket Punch has other fixes, such as the ability now correctly pinning targets to walls. Meanwhile, his Seismic Slam would trigger instantly when the ability is used to travel up inclines.
Where other heroes are concerned, Mercy’s Guardian Angel would show targeting UI on allies, even whilst it was in progress on a selected target. As for new Overwatch hero Moira, she too has been subject to a number of fixes, including a bug that saw her Biotic Orb passing through structures and terrain. Also, her Biotic Grasp wouldn’t track targets correctly, and her Coalescence would be prevented from healing heroes when they were being phased.
Sombra and Widowmaker also had bugs fixed, with the former’s Hack being stopped from interrupting Tracer’s Pulse Bomb if it was thrown, whilst the latter’s Grappling Hook was prevented from pulling players to moveable objects, even when stationary.
