Yesterday, we saw rumors surfacing regarding the return of the Halloween event in Blizzard shooter Overwatch. It has since been confirmed by Blizzard that there will indeed be a Halloween event, even suggesting the return of last year’s event Junkenstein’s Revenge.
The announcement was made via Twitter, though it doesn’t really give much away. The appearance of Dr Junkenstein suggest that the mode based around him will make a return in some form. This was the first co-op PvE brawl to be brought into Overwatch, and was a popular hit if only for a limited time. Check out the video below that was revealed recently, following the several rumblings that had been occurring across the internet before it was finally unveiled:
The nights grow cold
And monsters appear
A great evil gathers
And Halloween draws near… pic.twitter.com/98CXWqQ0gc— Overwatch (@PlayOverwatch) October 3, 2017
That won’t be the only thing that players can expect from Halloween Terror 2017. Along with another mode, probably a returning one of some kind, there will also without a doubt be new skins, as well as potentially returning ones from last time. There will also more than likely be new highlight intros, sprays, emotes and victory poses.
If you’d like to get involved and don’t have Overwatch, it is now available on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
