For months there have been rumors that one of the upcoming heroes of Overwatch may be Doomfist, but it always proved to be just a rumor. But now we might have finally witnessed actual evidence.
There was an Overwatch update on the Public Test Server that brought a few fixes recently. The log files of this update were quickly data mined by the eager players, and their creativity was not at all a waste of time. An image soon appeared on Reddit showing the findings from a log file where Doomfist’s name is indicated.
What’s more, besides the possible new character’s name, a summer event had also been spotted, which also appeared in the log as Summer Games. This may mean that a similar event to the previous Olympics-themed one is heading our way. We can expect this summer event to arrive fairly soon since the first month of the season has already passed.
