Over 10 Million People Played Apex Legends
Respawn’s entry in the battle royale genre has been quite successful, as over 10 million people played Apex Legends.
Apex Legends is like the Blackout mode in Black Ops 4, but it’s also free-to-play and it offers some mechanics that other games of this genre don’t. The most important one is no fall damage. Yes, drop from whatever height you want to and you won’t die. If you play battle royale games you know why this is so important.
So, EA has stated that over 10 million players jumped into Apex Legends. Is this a success for the company? Of course it is, as they are having some issues right now as their stocks are constantly going down. If they treat this game right and don’t bury it with micro-transactions, it’s going to be one of the best battle royale games out there.
Apex Legends also had over 1 million concurrent players, so we can see that people noticed how everyone was praising the game and wanted to try it. That’s the beauty of free-to-play titles. Once you hear about it and you like what you hear, you can go and try it right away.
Slick gunplay, interesting “Legend” characters each with their own skills, incredibly beginner friendly UI tips like each zone telling you what kind of loot you can expect there, all kinds of things add to the brilliance of Respawn’s battle royale shooter. We are still sad that this game was Titanfall 3, but got converted int Apex Legends.
Maybe more Titanfall games are planned for the future. But, right now, everyone is happy with how this game turned out. It will even get cross-play sometime in the future!
If you’re looking for an battle royale that’s easy to get into but is also incredibly captivating and polished, look no further.
