Octopath Traveler Coming To Steam, Square Enix Confirms
It seems those leaks were true, as Square Enix came out and confirmed that Octopath Traveler is arriving on Steam this summer.
Are you excited? This Nintendo Switch hit was been attracting quite a lot of attention ever since it came out. Unfortunately, PC players couldn’t even give this title a go unless they bought the Switch, but that changes now. The leaks that we were talking about turned out to be true. Who would have figured? But, whatever the case may be, this turn-based RPG will be available on the PC rather soon.
So, what exactly should we expect from Octopath Traveler? Well, it is a turn-based RPG with an excellent combat system, a magical soundtrack, and a pretty mediocre story and bland characters. Unlike some other semi turn-based fatnasy RPGs (for example Dragon Age: Origins, one of our alltime favorite RPGs of all time), the story and the characters don’t seem fleshed out at all.
Never the less, that doesn’t change the fact that the world of this game is a joy to explore. The combat is really fun and doesn’t get tedious, and the art style is retro and gorgeous. All things considered, Octopath Traveler is a game that you should definitely keep an eye out if you’re into these kinds of RPGs.
The game is coming to Steam on June 7, 2019. If you’ve played the game on the Switch, will you also be getting it on the PC? Let us know in the comments section below and if you’ve played Octopath Traveler before, share your most epic moments with us!
“Octopath Traveler is an exciting turn-based RPG coming to PC, known for its engaging combat and enchanting soundtrack. While it offers a captivating experience, some find its story and characters lacking depth compared to other fantasy RPG classics
Octopath Traveler, the popular Nintendo Switch title, is finally arriving on PC, offering a captivating turn-based RPG adventure. Delve into its rich combat system and enchanting soundtrack, but be aware that its narrative and character depth may not reach the heights of classics like Dragon Age: Origins. However, for those seeking a new world to explore inside passport, this game still offers a journey worth taking.
