No More Heroes 3 To Bring In “The Avengers?”

Suda 51 is one of the most unique video game developers out there, bar none. His titles are over-the-top, crazy, hard to process at times, and yet, are infinitely fun. His most popular games though have to be No More Heroes. A series which is about to continue on Nintendo Switch with Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes. However, in an interview, Suda 51 noted that this game is a lead-up to No More Heroes 3, and that he wants/needs this game to do well so that he can make the game, which he already has planned out in terms of plot.

He explained his ideas in an interview with Fandom:

“In No More Heroes 3, Travis is going to go up against crazier adversaries than he ever has before,” Suda added. “It’s going to be bloodier, more intense battles between assassins it’s going to be kind of like The Avengers– Thanos levels of crazy villains.”

No More Heroes 3

He went on to note how Travis Strikes Again connect to the next title:

“In order for Travis to stand a chance [against these powerful new foes] I wanted to give Travis the chance to enter these different game worlds [in Travis Strikes Again] and power up to learn some new skills and gain some more strength so that ultimately I can work to make Travis a more prominent character in video game history overall. The skill chips that you saw Travis collecting in Travis Strikes Again’s game world, I want Travis to take those with him to the next game, the next numbered installment.”

It’s a bold plan, and yet, completely in line with how Suda 51 works. No More Heroes does have a loyal fanbase, and the Nintendo Switch (which both games would be on) has been a big support of major titles. So, it’s possible that Travis Strikes Again could do very well, and then we’ll get to see No More Heroes 3.
