No More Delays For Red Dead Redemption 2
Video games take a lot of time to get made, and gamers generally accept that. However, when a game gets strung along for one reason or another, or delays come one after the other, that tends to annoy many. And that was what was happening for Red Dead Redemption 2. Despite the first game being a major hit and Game of the Year winner, the sequel took forever to just be announced, and then, it got delayed multiple times. But this time, Rockstar is promising it won’t happen again.
In an interview with CNBC, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick promised that Red Dead Redemption 2 will not have any more delays leading up to its October 26th release date. Here even swore “Hand on heart” that it wouldn’t happen
“When I said ‘hand on heart,’ it’s over a thousand people at Rockstar Games with their hands on their hearts,” Zelnick added
Now, all things being fair and equal, there is still a chance that the game could be delayed, likely by a week or two to help tighten things up even more, but Zelnick seemed adamant that the delays were all behind them. Guess we’ll have to wait and see if that’s true.
Regardless, Red Dead Redemption 2 is one of the most anticipated games of the year. It’s actually a prequel to the original Red Dead Redemption story, and follows the Van der Linde gang as they struggle to survive in the evolving Wild West. One where gangs like theirs are getting taken out left and right, and now they must decide whether to remain together, or try surviving on their own.
Aside from a compelling singleplayer story, many are anticipating some big multiplayer modes, including a potential Battle Royale mode, but that is as of now unconfirmed. Wouldn’t surprise us though if Rockstar has some other surprises up its sleeve.
