No Link Gear In Diablo III Eternal Collection
Nintendo has been cleaning up recently when it comes to how they are getting more and more 3rd party support for their console, the Nintendo Switch. And one of their biggest gets of recent memory is getting Blizzard to put Diablo III on the console. The Diablo III Eternal Collection will bring the main game, Reaper of Souls, and Rise of the Necromancer onto the Nintendo Platform. And that’s not all, there will be some very special features and gear that players can only get via this version.
Mainly, there will be some Ganondorf themed gear straight out of The Legend of Zelda franchise. And gamers have been very excited about this. However, gamers wondered, if Ganondorf was going to be “in the game” via gear, why not Link? Well, Blizzard responded to this question, stating:
“There will be no Link gear coming to Eternal Collection,” a representative told ComicBook.com. “We tried a variety of different ideas in testing, but ultimately we felt that Ganondorf best fit the world of Diablo.”
So no Link gear in the game, but that may only be a small setback, as Blizzard is aiming to use all of the Switch’s functionality to the fullest:
“Diablo III on the Nintendo Switch takes full advantage of the console’s flexibility and versatility with multiple intuitive and ultra-responsive controller configuration options. Whether you prefer dual-wielding Joy-Cons, sitting elbow-to-elbow on the couch with your friends using a single Joy-Con each, or entering the fray armed with a Pro Controller, you’ll be able to slay your way. Up to four players can embark on grand cooperative crusades to cleanse Sanctuary—side by side in front of a single Nintendo Switch screen or linking multiple consoles together wirelessly.”
You can get Diablo III Eternal Collection when it comes to Switch on November 2nd.
