Nintendo Switch Version Of WWE 2K18 Updated?
To many, there is nothing worse in video games than a terrible port. Because unlike a video game that is just plain bad, a port can not be representative of the game itself, but rather, of the developer who failed to take the time to put quality into the game on that specific system. When WWE 2K18 was revealed, fans were happy, as the slate of WWE games has been growing in quality for a while now. But then, the game was announced to be coming to the Nintendo Switch, and fans were really happy…until the game came out.
For when the title launched, the game was basically unplayable to most. Slow framerates, in-game functionality issues, and more plagued the title. It was called one of the worst launches on the Switch, which is something that you honestly don’t hear that often on the system. Fans begged for 2K to fix the issues.
And it appears they may have listened, for some Redditors have noted that they got a notification that the game had received an update of some kind. To be fair though, we don’t know what the purpose or intent of said update was, nor do we know now.
Based on what the Redditors have said, there have been a few small fixes, including the loading times that were weighing the game down. Still, some major problems are plaguing the game, however, the update has brought at least a little hope to gamers.
“Seems like incremental improvements, which is still better than nothing at least.” says Redditor davydhatesyou.
Hopefully, a more substantial update will come to the system soon, for there’s no doubt that Switch owners want this game, it’s just that they want it to be good as well. Should 2K take the time, that could happen here.
