NieR Replicant released a surprise trailer that showcases all the new content that’s coming with the upgraded version of the game.
NieR Replicant is an obscure action RPG previously only available in Japan. However, due to NieR: Automata’s incredible reception, the prequel got selected for a semi-remaster which would release globally. This new version, titled NieR Replicant version 1.22474487139 isn’t just getting a visual makeover.
A new trailer showcases NieR Replicant with its new content, including dungeon, costumes, soundtracks, and a brand new episode.
There are 15 Nightmares where players get to take on challenging foes as an older version of Nier. However, that’s not nearly all as the bonus content includes the Samurai and Kabuki costumes, a Nier Automata crossover pack in the form of 2B and A2 costumes for Kaine, the Virtuous Treaty sword, and Automata’s soundtrack.
Yet, the most interesting piece of new content is the Mermaid episode. An abandoned ship, an abandoned little girl, and a terrifying sea monster. The player must figure out what’s going on in this watery graveyard. Gives off slight Lovecraftian vibes if I’m completely honest.
