Ni No Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom Delayed Again
Delays are inevitable in the gaming industry, as developers sometimes need extra time to refine, polish, fix, and just make games better. Yes, they do assign release dates, but those are meant to be tentative, and until a game goes “gold”, we can’t expect them to make their initial release date. Such is the case with Level 5’s Ni Ni Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom, for the title has officially been delayed for a second time, much to the sadness of the JRPG community.
Though it likely won’t bring much comfort, Level 5 did release a statement saying that they didn’t want to do this delay, but it became necessary as the development of the title went on:
“With innovation and new ideas comes the need to ensure everything works together in a fun and cohesive way; this means we’ll need a bit more time to make sure the entire Ni no Kuni II experience meets our highest quality standards.”
It’s true that Level 5 does have high standards, and that’s been proven throughout their history, as their games have been of incredible quality, and no doubt fans expect the same quality of Ni No Kuni 2, so, we should give them this leeway. What’s more, the team stated that they will be giving new information about the game in the upcoming weeks and months, so we may not be starving for new information for very long.
What we do know is that you’ll be playing as Evan Pettiwhisker Tildrum, a young king who is usurped from his castle and his kingdom. But, you’re desperate to get it back, and thus you embark on a journey through a vast world, getting allies and taking part in new battles that’ll put your skills to the limit.
Ni No Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdoms will release on March 23rd, 2018. Stay tuned for more news on it.
